I think The Edge may be finished.
I read through it yesterday, smoothed over a couple of rough spots. I had planned to continue reading it in my writers’ group, as the critique I received made such a difference in the early scenes. However, I think it’s pretty darn good as it is. It doesn’t need to be pulled apart any more.
I’m not sure what to do with it just now. I don’t want to put it on Smashwords so soon on the heels of Dreamscapes. I can’t put it in a print book until I have two more stories to go with it. I think I’ll leave it for now, and revisit the question after I’ve spent some time on something else.
On second thought, maybe I’ll read them the ending. I’m not sure how well it will work, since they’ll have missed 10k words of middle, but it’s worth a try. It’s a scene that could use some input.
